Did you forget 9-11 already? You bet many have and it's by design by the liberal media. Forget, deny, bury your head in the sand, out of sight out of mind, is the policy of the liberal media. There are people that don't know why we are at war. They forgot, forgot 9-11 already. That day that shocked the world and near 3,000 were murdered will not be forgot, so was the cry the days and months after 9-11-01. The liberal media and their Democrat friends quickly went into spin and smear mode days after they said they were united in the war on terror. It didn't last long. Did anyone expect them to. A movie about 9-11 called Flight 93 is being seen and the liberals don't like it. They don't want their hard work to get people to forget what happened and to forget the reason we are at war to be undone. They don't want the facts in a movie to remind people what it's about. The day that called for stiff action against those that would do us harm has resulted in a lot of hard fighting and lose of life for many that serve in our military to defend America. People need to remember what it's about and why American troops sacrifice and risk their lives to defend America.

The Dems don't have the votes to filibuster Judge Alito and stop him from joining the high court. The Democrats leftwing which makes up the core of the party is demanding a filibuster. The problem the Dems have is the radical approach of the leftists make the entire party unelectable. The party is in a position of needing to humor their radicals while at the same time look a bit sane. That's not easy to do if not impossible. Democrat leaders will try to make it appear they did filibuster and sent a strong message to keep the left happy. The liberal media is attacking Rove, smearing his character and others over the so called "leak investigation". All those that know the law and those with common sense say there was no crime. But prosecutors are said to possibly indict people for not remembering something or what they think is contradictory statements in a non-crime investigation. The reputations are smeared the political smears are out there lingering around.

Democrat and Clinton hack Sandy Berger was caught red handed stealing documents and got a slap on the wrist. Clinton was found to have lied under oath and wasn't indicted. Other crimes by the Clinton administration were swept under the rug. The Republicans attempt to be nice guys and not go after Democrat wrong doing resulted in more attacks by Democrats, investigations, indictments by liberal prosecutors like going after Tom Delay, and questions and attacks on Frist and others. The Republicans need to fight back and stop playing nice guy or phony Democrats will continue to miss use the court system to criminalize politics.

John Roberts' hearings undermine the Democrats

The pick of John Roberts by President Bush was thought to result in a battle over the Supreme Court. The Democrats led by judiciary committee members Leahy, Biden, Durbin, Schumer and Kennedy are the most partisan hack politicians the nation has ever known and were to take on the President's pick for the high court undermining not only the nominee but the President at the same time. The hope by liberals was to defeat President Bush's nominees with filibusters and criticism that would lead to defeat for judges that the liberals disapprove of. But the liberals hopes faded after the first day of hearings to confirm John Roberts to the high court as well to the Chief Justice position.

Ted Kennedy made a pathetic fool of himself trying to claim that Roberts said the EEOC was un-American. Roberts answered with his cool sharp demeanor that the one that filed a lawsuit against the EEOC said that the way he was being treated by the EEOC was un-American. John Roberts job was to defend the EEOC in the lawsuit. The day earlier Democrats on the committee we interrupting Judge Roberts to throw him off his answers or un-rattle him, however, Ted Kennedy was left to look foolish in his attempt to harm Roberts. Ted Kennedy was left hanging like an old boxer that couldn't catch his breath after a defeat by a new younger boxer.

The Democrats were down to begging for something to grab onto as Biden and Feinstein mumbled that they don't know how they will vote on the nomination. For liberals everywhere it has to be embarrassing to them how their leaders in the Senate looked so foolish.

The Wilson and Plame Scandal

While the liberal media was hoping they could destroy Rove, the President's adviser, the real scandal is the disgraceful lies of Wilson in an attempt to undermine the President and therefore the nation during a war. The questions should be fast and many for Wilson, Plame and David Corn of what they knew. Mark Levin has a well done report that uncovers the real scandal of Wilson and his wife Plame. While an investigation goes on, the administration can't comment but the investigation shouldn't have anything to do with the them by now. The evidence we know clears Rove of any wrong doing. Rove was falsely accused by enemies of the President. Now that the evidence points to sinister motives by liberals in the media to destroy the President the focus should now be on those involved. The original 'so called crime' of outing a innocent CIA agent was never close to being a crime by anyone. The media, while "reporting" that there was a possible crime of an outing of an agent, the same liberal media claimed they didn't have to say what they knew because no crime was possible in the outing of Plame because she was already out long ago. The liberals tried to create a scandal for the President to deal with in his second term but now the scandal is now for the liberals to answer for to the American people.

Political groups will mobilize to either push or defeat someone they oppose but the president will pick who he wants and the judiciary committee will pass them to the full Senate. Those that try to filibuster will look extreme and will likely lose politically.

President Bush's Speech About Iraq

President Bush spoke to the nation about the accomplishments in Iraq and how the AlQeada terrorists responsible for 9-11 attack on America would not be allowed to win in Iraq on his watch.

Bush spoke optimistically about the ultimate result of a free Iraqi nation and the defeat of the terrorists whom weren't able to stop the turn over of Iraq to an Iraqi government and elections. Bush said the terrorists haven't been able to stop progress and will fail. He again said the work is hard and would take time as he said from the days just after 9-11.

Although AlQeada terrorists in Iraq kill by suicide bombs and other terrorist actions like blowing up women and children; the liberals and Democrats complained that Bush stated the obvious, that the fight in Iraq is against the AlQeada terrorists. Saddam is in jail with little support left. Most terrorists are AlQeada recruits from other countries and they are killing many Iraqis. Few Iraqis support the terrorists. Iraqis by the thousands are joining the police and military to fight along with US forces against the terrorists.

Felt had the second highest position at the FBI. He was suppose to be for justice and was to protect government material during investigations. Peoples liberties are harmed when material is released and their Constitutional rights violated. Protections of rights of due process and liberties are the most cherished of our rights as Americans. Felt violated rights and liberties of President Nixon and countless others. It is criminal activity to release government property in an investigation. Woodward, Bernstein and Bradley of the Washington Post covered up the crimes of Felt and used it to their own gain which is criminal activity on their part. They were conspirators to do harm to a President and the nation. They want the praise from their friends in the media but they should also have paid for their criminal activity. It would have only been beneficial if Nixon remained in office to the end of his term. He would have been able to manage the end of the Vietnam war without the suffering and deaths of millions in Southeast Asia. There was no benefit of Nixon resigning. The results of Watergate has poisoned politics ever since with politicians and media trying to bring down those they oppose by stirring up Watergate style investigations. Members of the media try to destroy others to become the next "Woodward and Bernstein" with little care who they may slander falsely or whose rights and liberties are violated. What Felt, Woodward, Bernstein and Bradley did was destructive to the nation, they were disgraceful in their conduct and it was criminal.

The so called Senate moderates, 7 from each party, joined in a radical political power play to form their own de-facto Judiciary committee. While the Republicans had the Judiciary Committee majority with Senator Spector the chairman, the new group of 14 will have the power to pick what judges get sent to the whole Senate to be confirmed. The Judiciary committee was the most powerful of all Senate committees because of it's power in the Judicial confirmation process. It is unknown what Senator Spector thinks about his loss of power as well as the other Senators that were on the committee but they can't be pleased. Senators wait years for the covered seats and the prestige it brings. The Judiciary Committee always decided what Judges are sent to the Senate for confirmation votes after hearing that could last many days. The Democrats used a filibuster to stop a vote on President Bush's nominees even though they were approved by the Judiciary Committee. The unprecedented filibuster by Democrats already vetoed the Committee approval. The Republicans have the majority to force a vote on all judges that pass the committee by declaring the Constitution requires a vote. The Constitution requires consultation which is viewed as requiring a vote on the President's judicial nominees.

I've figured it out. There is a logical reason the libs hate John Bolton. It's all about his hair! Think about it...here's a guy sporting a Beatle haircut and a mustach and Joe Biden had to have hair implants, he's jealous! I'm waiting to hear if Bolton served as a crossing guard in elementary school and made some black kids wait for traffic to cross (check it out Al and Jesse this could sink the deal).

In total disregard for facts the two liberal newspapers ran articles to smear Tom Delay in what has become the liberals favorite to attack. The two liberal newspapers took the liberal groups lead as well as many Democrats to smear Tom Delay in one of the worst cases of yellow journalism in years.

Higher courts refuse to take a look at the case even though the Congress passed a bill that Federal courts are to take a second look. Judges refuse, turning a blind eye. Courts refuse to save her life disregarding her rights of life and due process, the Governor of Florida is blocked, the Congress elected by citizens is ignored. The woman's mother, father, sister, brother, friends, doctors and nurses whom dispute what the one judge ruled are all ignored and have no say, those elected by the people do nothing or are ignored. One judge plays God and gives a death order by starvation dictating who will die. What has become of America? This is a horrendous travesty of justice, an injustice to a family and a women whom can't speak for herself. We have become ruled by judges, above the law, above family, above the people, above those elected. Old people, disabled people, the retarded, those that can't care for themselves for what ever reason, have it be a temporary condition or long term, are at risk. With judges taking such power we are a nation at risk.

Conservatives will not watch biased news reporting and liberals just don't care to see our military in action. Dean takes over the Democrats Party

The farther the Democrats move to the left the less they will appeal to moderates. Already Dean said he hates Republicans and stereotyped blacks as be waiters in hotels serving Republicans. It's unknown to what extent Dean can make off the cuff remarks that create controversy until the Democrats would need to replace him as their leader. The problem is that the radical left of the party has gained such power that they wouldn't accept Dean being removed.

Tenure for college professors is a farce

Since when someone can't be fired? Liberals that run colleges embrace the tenure rule that makes it difficult to fire professors. Many professors are liberals and it looks obvious that they are protecting their liberal friends by giving them tenure. Let's start a new rule and call it 'de-tenure' because of the importance of the job teaching at a College or University. 'De-tenure' means all professors get annual revues to see if they should keep their jobs. Only the best continue as a professor or department leader. Certainly, professors would have no problem finding other employment if they are let go. If they can't get another job easily it's proof they weren't qualified to be a professor and the decision to fire them was well made. Competition for the important jobs of teaching at colleges needs to be introduced and no one should be comfortable that they can't be fired. All professorships need to be open to the best annually and only those Colleges and Universities that do so should be accredited and recognized for quality.

A mother of a fallen American soldier and the Iraqi women embraced in an emotional moment. President Bush clearly set the agenda to build on the successes of the last 4 years. Ted Kennedy bashes America and President George Bush just days before the historic elections in Iraq. He has said American soldiers are the problem instead of saying it's the terrorists. Kennedy claimed Iraqis are supporting the terrorists even though thousands are fighting along side of American soldiers against the terrorists. While Iraqis are excited and hopeful by the election, Kennedy gave aid and comfort to the terrorists whom murder thousands including cutting off the heads of many innocent people. Senator Kennedy has disgraced himself and should do the right thing and resign in disgrace. It's clear Kennedy has no decency about him and has continued his calls of defeat for America and a victory for terrorists in Iraq. Other Democrats have been silent and it's not yet known if any will have the courage to face the out of control Senator from Massachusetts. Sen. Ted Kennedy is destined to be known like his father whom also sided with the enemies of America and the free world before WWII. Kennedy's father was a Nazi supporter. Ted Kennedy's call for America to flee from terrorists whom attacked American on 9-11 is a boost to the terrorist network and encourages them to kill more people and kill more American soldiers. The Iraqi election is a historic event that the terrorists are trying to stop. The Iraqi people are showing the world that they want freedom by voting regardless of the terrorist's threats. Kennedy said it wasn't possible for successful elections in Iraq and may be trying to prop up the enemies of America to prevent freedom from spreading in Iraq and the middle east and the victory that America has in Iraq and the war on terror.

While Republicans, conservatives and President George Bush speak about freedom and a better world, liberals take the other side in opposition.

Rich liberals don't want lower income people to invest their money like they do

Rich liberals like Kennedy, Rockefeller, Hillary, Lautenberg, Corzine, Feinstein, Kohl, Kerry and others invest their millions in all kinds of investments. Most of their holdings are invested in real-estate, stocks and bonds to get a better return on their money. The same rich liberals don't want lower income people to invest their money that goes into Social Security so that they get a better return. For lower income people Social Security is the largest part of their financial holdings and for some it's all of it. Take the flip side. Would the rich liberals agree to have all or most of their millions tired up in Social Security? Let's raise the contribution to Social Security so rich liberals can transfer their millions to the Social Security system. When they are at age of retirement they can collect a monthly payment and get the same return on their millions as lower income people get on their Social Security retirement. I wonder how many rich liberals would agree to this? It's what they want for lower income people, so it should also be good enough for them.

Earthquake and tsunami has killed about 80,000-100,000 in the southwest Asian disaster. That's unreal. Diseases like malaria in the countries flooded will kill thousands more. In those same countries thousands die each year from malaria. Over a million people die each year around the world from malaria.When many die all at one time and they have pictures showing the floods and destruction, people are horrified. But when over 1 million die each year but there aren't interesting pictures of the destruction of people dying of malaria, few say anything about it and it's not a large news story. The world can easily solve the malaria problem but don't because the UN, leftists, and extremist liberal environmentalists prevent solving it. They won't un-ban DDT to prevent malaria. They don't want to admit they were wrong and they still say DDT is harmful. Junkscience.com They knew DDT wasn't harmful but ran a campaign against it and still do. Because liberals, leftists, extremeenvironmentalists got DDT banned over 1 million die each year that don't have to die. That's 10 times more than the tsunami tragedy each and every year! Liberals cause the death and suffering of millions and they just don't care, politics is what's important to them. Let's see if any liberals call for the use of DDT to help the people effected by the tsunami and floods so they don't get malaria. You won't hear them demand the use of DDT because then they would have to admit they are responsible for millions dying of malaria when they stopped the use of DDT.

I guess I should not be surprized any more that the media will make a big deal about a coward and ignore a real hero. I could even see the media making a big deal of the deserter if it was ment to ridicule him. But of course that is not the reason. When are these people going to realize we are at war?

The media failed attempt at an October surprise talking about missing munitions was a joke and now this. Somebody wake me up when they start comparing this to the folks who voted against the $87 billion for more body armor for the troops (even if they initially voted for it).

The liberals are trying to secularize all of America from public places to private property by using intimidation. The latest we hear is that some stores like Macy's will not say Christmas in their stores or their advertisements. The fact that people do their Christmas shopping doesn't matter to such stores like Macy's that use the secular lingo and say "holidays" instead of Christmas. The political left has been trying to take away any notion of Christmas being a religious Christian holiday and make it a secular holiday. By making it secular they can make anything become the meaing of the holiday; meanings that would fit their secular beliefs and not Christian beliefs. The way to stop this attempt by the political left is to not buy from those businesses like Macy's that bend to the leftists.

President Bush won the two most important battle ground states of Florida and Ohio to gain the electoral votes needed to win re-election. Kerry conceded after it was clear he had no chance to fight the results in the courts like Al Gore did in Florida in the last election. How the President won. With the economy strong and the war on terrorism being the most important issue President Bush won with the largest vote total ever. Record numbers voted in what many call the most important election in their life times. The Democrat nominee, Kerry, was hurt by his dishonorable conduct during the Vietnam war when he bashed those that were serving there by accusing them of horrible crimes. Vietnam Veterans spoke out against kerry and were very effective with the use of campaign ads, books, web sites and movies to get the facts out to the general public. Left wing groups used tens of millions of dollars to bash Bush with propaganda to undermine the President and the war on terror but in the end the much smaller group of Veterans with donations from average citizens were more effective getting their message out because of their credibility. Leftists often made themselves look extremist and anti-American in their political agenda to defeat Bush. Kerry's supporters and the liberal media were also rejected by the voters whom were offended by their visceral hate and outright lies and propaganda including forged papers Dan Rather of CBS used to destroy the president. The last week, Kerry jumped on a story done by the liberal media of the NY Times and CBS of supposed missing weapons in Iraq which ended up hurting his campaign. The US military said they did find and destroy tons of weapons where they were supposedly missing from. A Bin Laden tape came out just days before the election which reminded everyone of the seriousness of the war on terror the President has been effective dealing with. President Bush won over 50% of the vote and claims a mandate to enact his policies. Republicans also picked up 4 Senate seats and gained in the House making a sweeping victory for President Bush and the Republicans.

HOW TO GET RID OF THE PEST

In perusing the news today, I read where we are having success in Iraq, that Ashcroft and Evans have resigned from the Bush cabinet, gold ended firm in Europe in a 16 year high, and oil prices continue their six week fall. However, I have now read it all ... "Kerry supporters seek therapy in South Florida".
The mental condition of the 15 patients being treated by a Boca Raton trauma specialist is now known as "post election selection trauma", or PEST. Therapists in Palm Beach County are "working to develop a counseling program" for this latest of psychological problems. The executive director of the American Health Association, in Boca Raton, reports the malady to be "like post-traumatic stress syndrome ... "
I thirst for the day these "victims" turn on their party, hire John Edwards to represent them, and sue the DNC, alleging the Dems ran such a lousy campaign that their candidate was defeated, that the defeat has caused these "victims" to suffer from PEST, and only millions of dollars will compensate them for their "pain and suffering".

THE TRUTH; WHY THEY LOST

Since the Bush win on Nov 4, there have been many public introspectives by saddened democrats. They have blamed everything from gay marriage to Kerry himself. They have searched in vain to find a true reason for their party's failure at the polls. They have ridiculed the voters, called us stupid, hayseeds, hicks and nazis. They have failed to see the truth. Surpised?? Me neither. Their arrogance and self-proclaimed superiority have lost them this election, it's that simple.

Depressed democrats, (my favorite kind), have said that Bush did a better job scaring the people of this country. I fear they will never understand us, at least I hope not. Americans, as we know are hard working family-oriented people. We like to be among friends and do what we can to secure our futures as INDIVIDUALS. We do not vote because we are scared. We may be scared by certain things, but we never run.

Liberals see this country as a huge classroom, and themselves as the enlightened professors. They think that average Americans are incapable of true understanding. So, they have elected themselves to be self-appointed 'life guides" for us all. They will tell us how to live. They will tell us how to worship. They will tell us what to think and believe. They will admonish us when we are wrong. You see, it's for our own good, they only want to help us. HOGWASH!! .......The American people just put a razor blade in Teacher's apple. Enough was finally.....enough.

We are a proud people. We do not like being pandered to, but we tolerated it for a while. We do not like being lied to, but we tolerated it for a while. We do not like to see the things we hold dear attacked from within, or from without, but we tolerated it....for a while. On November 2, 2004, we had finally begun to realize that....we don't have to put up with this nonsense anymore, so we won't. We turned out nation wide, not as Republicans, but as Americans. .............Millions and Millions of INDIVIDUAL Americans.

These are the things that really lost it for the Democrat party. It's not a campaign, it's a fundamentally flawed ideology that causes their problems. So, rest easy while the liberal 'elites' spin in circles trying to find the magic bullet, there is none. Until they change their ideology, their attitude, their demeanor, and their minds, they will continue to lose elections. Until the Democrat party sees Americans as individuals, and not a set of groups to be pandered to, they will continue to lose elections. Until the Democrat party begins to love this country again, and seek to better it, instead of just seeking the power to rule it, they will continue to lose elections. Until the Democrat party becomes.....the Republican party, they will continue to lose elections.

GIVING CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE

In posting my "blogs" over the past month or so on this website, I have more than sufficiently covered the state of our "free press" and my fears of the results of "misinformation and unbalanced reporting". "The Unbalanced State of Free Speech in America", Friday, October 22, 2004.
I also voiced my opinion that conservatives needed to respond to accusations being made against President Bush ("Support our President", Tuesday, October 19, 2004), that the "slanted news coverage" by the liberal media was giving Candidate Kerry an unfair advantage ("The Liberals are Stealing our Republic" Wednesday, October 27, 2004), and that those same liberals were "attempting to sell us a bag empty of substance, but full of tricks" ("Proof Continues to Mount that Kerry is Unqualified to Serve in the White House", Tuesday, October 26, 2004").
Well, my fellow conservative Americans, you waded through all that hyperbole, the misinformation, the unbalanced reporting, AND ignored all the labels and insults thrown at the "conservatives" of this country, and put President Bush back into office for four more years. I am SO impressed by the number of "thinking" individuals in this wonderful land. I, therefore, wish to give you credit for this most important of results, extend my thanks, and acknowledge my gratitude for all your efforts.

A LESSON LEARNED? I DOUBT IT

Even after the forged documents on CBS, the constant anti-bush reporting, and a biased look at Iraq have failed to achieve victory; the liberal media has failed to learn it's lesson. I think that the flawed exit polls were not flawed at all. Rather, (No pun intended), they were contrived. In an effort to discourage Bush voters and encourage Kerry voters, media members breathlessly hinted, although subtly, that the election was over. Kerry had won, and yet......not a single vote had been counted. We, sadly, have learned to live with this. We win anyway.

I, for one, wish to send the media a message. And, happily, we have done that together as a Nation. The unfortunate part is that they were not listening, or......don't really care. Watching the media's shock and mourning, their gruesome Kerry autopsy and their priceless faces was humorous, but sad. To be so dedicated to a lost cause must be frustrating, but the truth is: They are fast becoming irrelevant. Think of it. An entire industry created for the sole purpose of being current and relevant is now,...neither.

The reason for their demise? It's simple really. They are victims of their own success. Before there were alternate sources of information, people lived by the words spoken by bodiless heads flickering in their living rooms. This information monopoly was great for a while. Until one day.....it got an idea. The media slowly, around the time of the Vietnam war, began to affect change in the policies of the country. It began to realize that is had un-bridled power to persuade. It could persuade millions, sometimes subtly and sometimes with brute force....repeating the same thing in many different ways until the lie became a fact....in people's minds.

The masters became drunk on their power and abused it. They took down a president and elected Carter. They invented political correctness and jammed it down our throats. They were unstoppable. Until one day, they were circumvented by a former California governor. Reagan went directly to the people and left them out of the loop. This Enraged them to the point that they lost sight of who exactly it is that grants them their power....us....their viewers. We began to look elsewhere for information.

This left a HUGE void in a marketplace screaming for information. A long dead format, Talk Radio, was revived and seemingly overnight....had dominated the OLD media. They forgot to protect their flank. Soon after talk radio roared from it's former obscurity, the internet was popularized. Suddenly, people could share information over great distances, instantly, and at very low cost. The monopoly had been broken. The old masters had lost their precious power to their own arrogance. Touche!!

The old masters, a few of which are still around, still refuse to acknowledge these new media as if they will someday go away. Well guess what my friends....We are here to challenge the so-called 'facts' disseminated to the masses. We are here to scrutinize and defend. We are here to analyze and discuss. We, my friends, are here....to stay.

I watched them trying to find a way for Kerry to win. I watched them twist and reach for a way, any possible way that Bush, the evil one, could be vanquished. But in the end, they had failed to persuade enough people that up was down, that wrong was right or that black....was white. Not enough of us were fooled by forged documents, lies, and conveniently omitted challenges of Kerry's so-called 'plan'. We beat them honestly and with a clear view of the facts. We beat them with truth and sober analysis. We beat them, my friends...with GOOD. This is the beginning of truth in media. If they fail to learn this lesson, they will vanish, and I for one, believe....they will vanish.

ASSESSMENT OF ELECTION RESULTS

What a big difference there is between fact and media "hype". Voters in 11 states have now rejected gay marriage and the conservative sites on the Internet are reporting Bush has won re-election. The liberal media, however, is reporting that, four years after Bush’s election in 2000, the voters are more deeply divided than ever. Such presumption by the liberals totally disregards the fact that Bush has won the first majority in 16 years.
At the same time NBC, MSNBC and FNC called the outcome in Ohio as being for Bush, CBS, ABC and CNN refused to do so, preferring to project Nevada for Bush, while the other media sources did not (even though 100 percent of that state’s votes were in). Once again it appears as though the television networks are deliberately keeping the election in limbo, and blatantly displaying their personal agendas.
In his latest press conference, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn, spoke of Senator Daschle’s (D-SD) defeat as the first ouster of a Senate boss since 1952, and made note of the voters’ rejection of Democrat "obstructionism". Senator George Allen, R-VA, acknowledged that Daschle’s ouster had been "the Republicans’ top priority." However, NBC was still reporting the Senate race in South Dakota as "to close to call", even though Daschle was more than 8,000 votes behind Thune and 99 percent of the precincts had reported.
What does this all tell you? I don’t know what it tells you, but it tells me that the voters have spoken and the media refuses to hear the message. The very media refusing to hear the message is the one we heretofore looked to for our daily news and of which we did not get. We, the electorate, need to now demand the same accuracy in media reporting as the media has demanded be delivered by the vote counting process in this country, albeit the media’s message falls short of accuracy, contrary to the success that vote counting has given us.

New Bin Laden Tape Airs

The new Bin Laden tape discusses the election and warns America of future attacks and says, "We decided to destroy towers in America". It is most likely the terrorists wanted to carry out a terrorist attack before the election. This may be good news because it may have been the only way Bin Laden and his terrorists could try to effect the election because they may not have been able to pull off an attack. The election has been about the war on terrorism and in the remaining days will be the most important issue.

Kerry Bashes the Military Again

John Kerry followed the lead of CBS and the NY Times to bash the military and George Bush over a story about missing weapons that was not true. Kerry blamed the military and Bush for allowing 380 tons of weapons from getting away in Iraq and claiming the weapons were used to kill American kids and blowing their legs off. The reference to kids was meant to mean soldiers fighting in Iraq. The story was first discredited when it became clear there were no weapons missing in Iraq in recent weeks. The NY Times didn't say when they were supposedly missing leaving the impression it was a new event. CBS wanted to run the story two days before the election on 60 Minutes in another attempt to destroy Bush's re-election chances. Just weeks earlier CBS tried to destroy Bush by running another phony story using forged papers. This was another attempt by CBS and the NY Times to defeat Bush with either missleading stories or completely untrue stories. The NYTimes first ran the false story about missing weapons that was given to them by a member of the UN that is against America and has dealings with arch enemy Iran. The NY Times didn't ask the US military before running their story that now has been discredited. Those in the military that were in charge of destroying Saddam's weapons have stated clearly they did their job and destroyed over 200 tons of weapons at the facility in question as well as 7,000 tons of weapons in the area. The US military has destroyed near 400,000 tons of weapons but the story of just 380 tons was an attempt to claim incompetency of the President just before the election. Those that served in Iraq were outraged by the false story that questioned their competence. For the story to be true it would have taken many large trucks going in and out of the facility traveling many miles on roads mostly used by the US military after loading tons of weapons all when the US military was operating at the facility and around it. Saddam was also in hiding then and most Iraqi military was fleeing. Even though it was near impossible, Kerry jumped on the story to bash Bush and discredit the US military like he has done many times in the past when he accused those serving in Vietnam of horrible crimes.

THE LIBERALS ARE STEALING OUR REPUBLIC

The news we heard, watched and read on Monday and Tuesday, October 25 and 26, 2004, has resulted in my being not only extremely angry at the slanted and manipulated coverage we receive in the U.S., but also has created the necessity of following up my earlier blog, "THE UNBALANCED STATE OF FREE SPEECH IN AMERICA" with this one.
First things being first, prompts me to outline that which elicits my statement, "slanted news coverage". Early Monday, October 25, 2004, the New York Times published an article about the "nearly 400 tons" of explosives that had disappeared from the Al-Qaqaa facility in Bagdad, which "was supposed to be under American military control but is now a no man’s land, still picked over by looters as recently as Sunday." That article also reported that "White House and Pentagon officials acknowledge that the explosives vanished sometime after the American-led invasion."
The NYT article was reported not only by all major media sources in the U.S., but in all corners of the world. I was able to gather links to news sources from Austria to New Zealand, Canada to South America, Turkey, Bagdad, and to numerous Internet sites. By "googling" the phrase, "missing explosives", you will find more than 1,000 sources from which to read similar content.
Almost immediately, the Bush administration downplayed the NY Times article and its statement that the "White House and Pentagon officials acknowledge that the explosives vanished sometime after the American-led invasion". In my research to determine the truth of the article, I was able to easily confirm that the article’s content was old news, having originally been reported in early 2003, and the discovery was actually made by U.N. inspectors BEFORE the U.S. troops arrived in Bagdad. Furthermore, as early as Monday afternoon, the Times Leader, a news source in northeastern Pennsylvania, had published a timeline of events surrounding the missing explosives.
As the day progressed, Kerry began making the "missing explosives" an issue in his campaign speeches, stating that the missing explosives illustrated Bush’s failures in Iraq, and specifically alleging that "the discovery proved one of the great blunders of Iraq, one of the great blunders of this administration". Also, about the same time, an AP article appeared in the Times Leader entitled, "Embedded Reporter Saw No Explosives Search", wherein reporter Lai Ling Jew stated, "... as far as we could tell, there was no move to secure the weapons, nothing to keep looters away." Then, on the evening news of the CBS Channel 2, in New York, while it was reporting "Tons Of Explosives Missing In Iraq", and announcing that 60 Minutes would air a program on the subject Sunday evening before the Presidential election on Tuesday, the NBC affiliates were countering that information with news that the NYT article was inaccurate, was old news, and that any "missing explosives" took place prior to the U.S. entering Bagdad.
Tuesday, October 26, 2004, brought more campaign rhetoric from Kerry, as well as from Edwards, regarding Bush’s inadequacies on locating these explosives. Tuesday’s news also brought sufficient identification from U.N. sources to categorize the explosives as "WMDs". Then, in total disregard of the facts being reported by various news sources, the DNC began releasing campaign ads showing Kerry blaming Bush for the missing explosives, absent any mention that such explosives could well have been the "WMDs" that sent us to Iraq in the first place. Even more disturbing than Kerry’s escalated criticism, was a report in the Washington Times that the "Terrorists hope to defeat Bush through Iraq violence." That report included the statement that "Resistance leader Abu Jalal boasted that the mounting violence had already hurt Mr. Bush's chances, that the "American elections and Iraq are linked tightly together," and that the resistance was working "... to change the election, and we've done so. With our strikes, we've dragged Bush into the mud." Therefore, the press in this country has now become associated with the terrorists in attempting to deny President Bush four more years in the White House.
Conversely, at the same time Kerry and the DNC were using the misinformation from the New York Times to their advantage in campaigning against Bush, there appeared two articles relating to Kerry’s ties with the Viet Cong during his association with the Vietnam Veterans Against the War. The first article I read was written by Art Moore, for WorldNetDaily, and appears at http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=41106. The second was written by Thomas Lipscomb, for The New York Sun, and appears at http://www.nysun.com/article/3756. The document referred to in these articles is found at http://ice.he.net/~freepnet/kerry/staticpages/index.php?page=vccircular, and both confirm Kerry’s link to our enemies. It goes without saying that, if this was properly covered by the media, it would undoubtedly have an effect on the success Kerry has in the present presidential campaign. Astonishingly, neither article has appeared in any major news media source.
It has become so apparent to me that the news we receive in this country, where the press DEMANDS its freedoms, is SO heavily weighted toward the liberals’ agenda that we have no chance of receiving unbiased news without constant search on the Internet and perusal of sources outside the U.S. Why is this happening in a country that, by virtue of our Constitution, guarantees equality in every aspect of our daily lives? Are we doing to allow the media to choose our elected officials? Please, everyone, wake up – the liberals ARE stealing our country. If we don’t wake up and fight the good fight NOW, it may be too late.

PROOF CONTINUES TO MOUNT THAT KERRY IS UNQUALIFIED TO SERVE IN THE WHITE HOUSE

Aside from the flip-flopping, the lies, the lack of representation to his constituents in almost 20 years in the Senate, and the Senator’s own history of cavorting with our enemies, should anyone need additional proof that this man is ill-equipped to serve as President of this great nation? If so, please consider the article published in the New York Times today, alleging that approximately 380 tons "of powerful conventional explosives are now missing" from one of Iraq's more sensitive former military installations.
It is one thing for the NYT to have published that article, but quite different to have Senator Kerry, who should have been briefed on such information, to use it in his campaign speeches. Just hours after the New York Times article was on the streets, Kerry was blasting the current administration for its failure to "guard those stockpiles", adding, "This is one of the great blunders of Iraq, one of the great blunders of this administration."
I find it not only disturbing that Senator Kerry has such little knowledge of what has occurred in Iraq, as well as the many successes our troops have had in that country, but speculate how his lack of attention to such important details and events would affect this country were he walking in the President’s shoes. The more one knows about this man, the more one studies his campaign rhetoric, and the more one independently obtains the facts, the stronger the evidence we need to eliminate any chance Senator Kerry ever becomes included in the list of U.S. Presidents.
I hope it becomes as evident to other voters, as it has to me, that the liberals are attempting to sell us a bag empty of substance, but full of tricks.

MIXED SIGNALS FROM THE ARAB WORLD

In my daily read of news from all corners of the world, an article in the Arab news, entitled "How ‘Ugly Americans’ Forced Muslims Into a Wrong War", caught my eye. The writing focuses on the distribution of the television series, "The Road to Kabul", offered to networks in the Arab world. This series is said to "humanize the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan", "portray the American as evil incarnate", and "in a roundabout way", send the message that "Americans have only themselves to blame for the Sept. 11 attacks against New York and Washington". The author then describes several segments of the series relating to "an American conspiracy to divert attention from ... the war to liberate Palestine, presumably by wiping Israel off the map" as the "view .. . hammered ... throughout" the series. In assessing the impact this series has had on Arab television viewers, it is the author’s judgment that they "love the series" because of their "deep-rooted belief that the only issue that deserves their sympathy is Palestine".

By the way, the Qatari television station, for whom the series was made, has now "decided to cancel" the screening and has "informed other channels that had bought the series ... they would not receive the remaining 30 episodes" of the 38 that were produced. It is reported that this decision has "triggered threats of lawsuits" and "produced an avalanche of rumors about the reasons for the cancellation", including one that "Condoleezza Rice ... phoned the Qatari leaders to ask them not to air the series." Looks like some in the Middle East may try their luck in fulfilling personal agendas through litigation.

Then, in strange contrast to the "Ugly American" article, I came across an editorial relating to the United Nations’ role in the oil-for-food scam in Iraq. The author reported the probe into the scheme by Paul Volcker, and acknowledged the involvement of UN officials, well known people in over 30 countries, as well as companies from over two dozen countries. This writing correctly outlines the limitations to the Volcker investigation, and identifies the reasons this probe is insufficient as 1) the lack of subpoena power, and 2) the inability of the investigators to bring criminal charges against any involved in the scheme.

In conclusion, the author states, "Only a proper judicial inquiry, held in public, by the United States, which is the UN’s host country, preferably in conjunction with the European Union and, of course, Iraq, could reveal the whole truth and bring the thieves to justice."

THE UNBALANCED STATE OF FREE SPEECH IN AMERICA

We have spent the months since January 2004 taking in the "news" that the media airs and publishes and have heard all the indignation by that very media to our calls for objectivity, truth and fact. While the media heralded Michael Moore’s "Farenheit 9/11", they ignored the Swift Boat vets and their ads, until it became apparent those very ads were having an effect on Kerry’s standing in the polls. Then, in an attempt to offset the negativity to Kerry’s campaign, the media goes to Asia to interview former Communist activists to validate Mr. Kerry.
During this period of time, there have been films and news available from those supporting our President. Those films have been attacked at every turn by the media, and are now being challenged in the judicial system. It has come to the point where those who have a difference of opinion with the Democrats are either being silenced by the very media that is touted as a "free press", or denied "equal time" by the very courts that were designed to guarantee everyone a "fair judicial process".
The icing on "my cake" appeared last evening in a local talk show program. A Kerry supporter called in to complain that the talk show host had no right to "invade" an upcoming Michael Moore event in one of the universities to challenge Mr. Moore’s speech and his documentary, "Farenheit 9/11". Further, the caller voiced her displeasure with Condi Rice campaigning in the "swing states" for President Bush, stating, "Ms. Rice is our National Security Adviser and should have her attention on our national security, not a Presidential campaign." Upon further conversation, this caller divulged she felt President Bush and Vice President Cheney should likewise "not be out campaigning, but attending to the business in Washington." The talk show host immediately stated, "Then, in the interest of fairness, you would also want Kerry and Edwards to go back to the Senate and tend to their responsibilities in Congress to their respective constituents". However, the caller strongly denied she wanted the Democrat’s candidates to stop campaigning, and continued to give reasons why our President and his staff should stay in Washington and NOT campaign.
I post these observations to urge ALL conservatives to get busy and share ideas, make suggestions, and design ways for our segment of the population to ensure we get equal time and similar coverage as that being given our opposition. If we fail to properly challenge the present atmosphere of misinformation and unbalanced reporting, we will no longer be living in a republic, but a form of government similar to that formerly known as the U.S.S.R. What we are seeing now is all part of a larger plan and that plan is obviously not designed to fit the requirements of our present Constitution. Let us start organizing NOW, before it is too late.

From time to time we ask among ourselves, "Why isn’t President Bush, or Dick Cheney, responding to the many accusations and allegations of their opposition?" Well, maybe that is saved for the many who DO support Bush and Cheney.

For instance, Kerry proposes to cut taxes for 98 percent of taxpayers, yet President Bush’s tax relief cut taxes for 100 percent of those who pay income tax. Further, Kerry continues to tout the reduction of health care costs to employers by giving tax credits, as well as insisting he would allow the purchase of U.S.-made prescription drugs from other countries. On the other hand, it was President Bush who signed the bill giving tax credit for those workers displaced by trade, and the Medicare prescription drug law that also allows for importation of those drugs certified as “safe”. In addition, it is President Bush who proposes refundable tax credits for families purchasing individual health insurance.

I would hope that each one of us who supports President Bush would educate themselves as to the issues being raised by the Democrats, and have a factual and understandable response for those who are open to a rational discussion of their choices in this election. Our work to gather support for our President does not stop until November 2, 2004.

I Just Don't Get It!!

It seems funny to me that the democrat nominee is painted in the press as a moderate. I just don't get it. Why is it that a man who so vehemently opposed his own country in a major war is this close to running it? And why do so many people believe that such a man could win any war now?

I guess I just don't understand the liberal mentality. Bush is bad? Why? The arguments I have heard are specious at best. Here are a few of them, sadly.....: HE COMMITTED TROOPS FOR LIE? I don't think any president, given the same intelligence, would have done otherwise. Especially after the attacks of 9-11. To not react swiftly would have been irresponsible. WAR FOR OIL?? I guess that one is over. I just paid 2.35 a gallon to fill my truck...It's a mini truck with a 10 gallon tank, so I have not taken a loan...yet. WAR FOR HALIBURTON? Just name any other company with half of the resources, training and experience in the oil and construction industry. Then ask them to get to Iraq within 6 months with trained personnel and equipment. Then ask them to operate in a war zone, under fire and threat of sabotage. It can't be done by any other company. This is what they do. They are good at it; and nobody can get close to their record or experience in these matters. NO BID CONTRACTS? Haliburton has been a contractor for the U.S. government in the middle east for decades, and...Presidents. They are the only company with the necessary resources. SADDAM WAS NOT LINKED TO 9-11? I almost feel bad about trying to explain this one. NO KIDDING!!, there are no direct links to Saddam and 9-11. The war on terror is much larger than Saddam and Iraq. Clearly, Saddam was linked to many terrorist organizations. He paid the families of suicide bombers $25,000 for gosh sakes!! TERRORISTS ARE POURING INTO IRAQ AS A RESULT OF U.S. ACTION? Of course they are!!!!!! Jeese, the idea that this is a bad thing escapes me. The terrorists are focused on Iraq, like moths to a bug light. We kill them in Iraq and they are unable to attack my family here? Sounds good to me!!

If you ask me, Americans should be damn proud of our response to terrorism and our choice of contractors in the theatre. The best is the best for a reason. We are the best, and that causes some people discomfort. Well, get over it! And thank God we are as benevolent as we are. Though our power is great, we do not seek domination,.....only peace. We do not seek resources,....only free markets. We do not seek anything more than what we so proudly stand for,...equality. Those who don't get it.....just don't GET IT!!

Apparently I don't understand what a blog really is. I had thought it was for original thoughts, comments and opinions of the writer. It seems to have changed to a site where news pages are dumped. I don't feel there is anything wrong with links to a news page, but the writer could at least put some original thoughts or comments about the linked page.
I would find it much more interesting to read the thoughts of others like me, than what some professional writer may think on a particular subject.

Unlike McCain, Bush, and Gore, Kerry has adamantly refused to authorize the release of his military records. Most think it's because of his phony battle medals. I think the real reason is below. He was not granted an Honorable Discharge until March 2001, almost 30 years after his ostensible service term had ended! This is very much out of the ordinary, and highly suspect.

There are 5 classes of Discharge:

Honorable, General, Other Than Honorable, Bad Conduct, and Dishonorable.

My guess is that he was discharged in the '70s, but not honorably. He appealed this sometime while Clinton was doing trouser-tricks in the Oval Office. Political pressure was applied, and the Honorable Discharge was then granted.

Because John Kerry was discharged from TOTAL ACTIVE DUTY of only 3 years and 18 days on 3 Jan. 1970, he was then required to attend 48 drills per year, and not more than 17 days active duty for training. Kerry was also subject to the Uniform Cod! e of Military Justice. Additionally, Kerry, as a commissioned officer, was prohibited from making adverse statements against his chain of command or statements against his country, especially during time of war.
It is also interesting to note that Kerry did not obtain an honorable discharge until Mar. 12, 2001 even though his service obligation should have ended July 1, 1972. Lt. John Kerry's letter of 21 Nov. 1969 asking for an early release from active US Navy duty falsely states, "My current regular period of obligated service would be completed in December of this year."

The Constitution's Fourteenth Amendment, Section 3, states, "No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-president, having previously taken an oath to support the Constitution of the United States, [who has] engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."

Washington Post v. New York Times on Social Security - Jack Kemp

The recent middleweight title match between reigning champ Bernard Hopkins and the "Golden Boy" Oscar De La Hoya was billed as an historical event, one for the ages, like Hagler-Leonard circa 1987. Unfortunately for boxing fans the event didn't meet expectations. In the political world the opposite has occurred, a little billed, and even less noticed, bout between two print-media heavyweights the Washington Post and New York Times is taking place. In that fight these two media titans that have taken just about opposite corners on one of the most pressing domestic issues of our time -- Social Security reform.

In the red corner stands the Washington Post. Its editorial page has historically leaned liberal-left, but they have also taken decidedly principled and nuanced positions on issues such as school choice, international trade and, now, Social Security reform. Recently the Post editorialized that, "Mr. Bush's sympathizers are right that Social Security privatization could reduce long-term deficits, and right that the nation should not be deterred by the transition costs." It's a shame Kerry's campaign didn't "read the memo" before they put him on the line for higher payroll taxes.

The Washington Post also discarded the class-warfare mantra that has consumed Democratic candidates and party loyalists reasoning that: "Privatization could also stimulate economic growth, boosting tax revenues and so strengthening the nation's fiscal prospects via a second route." They continued, "Private accounts would boost national savings" thus "savings would become more plentiful," which, in turn, would "stimulate extra corporate investment and growth." Not bad, eh? A "semi-supply-side" position.

In the blue corner stands the reigning, but aging, champ, the New York Times. The Times editorial page is the most read and one of the most liberal pages in print today. It has stood with liberal orthodoxy regardless of the facts -- or regardless of a "preponderance of evidence" as Dan Rather and CBS might say (read this)

The president finally showed the guts, determination and focus that earned him victories in the three debates with Al Gore. He finally did his homework. He focused on his briefing points and mobilized his rhetoric to win the second debate.

It was Reagan-Mondale all over again. In the first debate of 1984, Walter Mondale soundly defeated Ronald Reagan, and in the process raised questions about the elderly president's metal acuity. In the first debate of 2004, Kerry's victory raised worries about President Bush's mental acuity. But in the second debate of his re-election year, Reagan rebounded through his humor to reassure the doubters. Twenty years later, Bush recovered through his aggressiveness to make clear that he is still the president, still the man.

Bush won even in the domestic-policy part of the debate ?a victory that was as unlikely as John Kerry's win in last week's confrontation on foreign issues. The Report That Nails Saddam

Saddam Hussein saw his life as an unfolding epic narrative, with retreats and advances, but always the same ending. He would go down in history as the glorious Arab leader, as the Saladin of his day. One thousand years from now, schoolchildren would look back and marvel at the life of The Struggler, the great leader whose life was one of incessant strife, but who restored the greatness of the Arab nation.

They would look back and see the man who lived by his saying: "We will never lower our heads as long as we live, even if we have to destroy everybody." Charles Duelfer opened his report on Iraqi weapons of mass destruction with those words. For a humiliated people, Saddam would restore pride by any means.

Saddam knew the tools he would need to reshape history and establish his glory: weapons of mass destruction. These weapons had what Duelfer and his team called a "totemic" importance to him. With these weapons, Saddam had defeated the evil Persians. With these weapons he had crushed his internal opponents. With these weapons he would deter what he called the "Zionist octopus" in both Israel and America.

But in the 1990's, the world was arrayed against him to deprive him of these weapons. So Saddam, the clever one, The Struggler, undertook a tactical retreat. He would destroy the weapons while preserving his capacities to make them later. He would foil the inspectors and divide the international community. He would induce it to end the sanctions it had imposed to pen him in. Then, when the sanctions were lifted, he would reconstitute his weapons and emerge greater and mightier than before.

The world lacked what Saddam had: the long perspective. Saddam understood that what others see as a defeat or a setback can really be a glorious victory if it is seen in the context of the longer epic.

Saddam worked patiently to undermine the sanctions. He stored the corpses of babies in great piles, and then unveiled them all at once in great processions to illustrate the great humanitarian horrors of the sanctions.(rest of the story)

American success story of historic proportions - Afghanistan

Afghan President Hamid Karzai is expected to win the first election in Afghanistan on Saturday capping a successful victory over terrorists and the Taliban by US military and allies including many Afghanies. This can be viewed only as a great success for President Bush, our armed forces and America. The liberal media will have a hard time spinning this against the President or denying the well deserved kudos. The liberal media won't want to cover it. Did they send their top reporters? Will Rather, Brokaw and Jennings be in Afghanistan to witness this historic event? We will see. The Afghan election is something all Americans should celebrate. We were successful and President Bush should gain the political windfall from it. Not often do we see historic events that are a direct result of the hard work and brave efforts of our military. All those involved that sacrificed, some even gave their lives, need to be honored for their accomplishment. It's a shame the liberal media will play it down in it's significance. But it's their shame. This display of democracy helps dearly in the war on terror and shows the entire world the greatness of America liberating and helping an entire country gain the freedom they deserve.

Edwards: Roasted, Toasted, and Burned

The VP debate last night was a rout. Cheney outclassed, outspoke, and out maneuvered Edwards. Cheny used his considerable smarts and experience to put Edwards in his place.

Yesterday evening's debate pitted two candidates against each other who could not be more different. Dick Cheney is an unquestioningly intelligent man who has spent most of his years in public service. His record speaks for itself. Cheney has served honorably and ably. John Edwards, on the other hand, has spent most of his life as a litigator(more often than not fleecing someone out of their money for him and his client). Basically speaking the Vice President is substance and Edwards is spin.

Cheny nailed Edwards on both foreign and domestic issues. On Iraq, Edwards brought up exaggerated figures on casualties and the cost of the war; Cheney corrected him with the real numbers. Cheny defended the decision to go into Iraq reminding Edwards that Saddam was indeed involved in terrorism by paying homicidal bombers for their kills. He also tied in Abu Nidal with Iraq and mentioned Zarqawi's activities in Iraq. On the domestic side Cheny pointed to both Kerry and Edwards' sorry senate record. Edwards' mantra about trying to help the little guy was shot down when Cheny said that the extension of the middle class tax cuts just passed in Congress and Kerry and Edwards were not there to vote on the final passage.

Dick Cheney, as usual, did his job so well, and won that debate hands down. Wonder if Edwards has enough sense to know he has been roasted, toasted and burned?

Cheney truly delivered what we have all been asking for, with tough responses against Kerry and Edwards coming throughout the night. Cheney consistently expressed the fact that Edwards was factually wrong, and in turn was able to return real facts and stats. Use of the word Nazi by the Left

Have you ever noticed when representatives of the Left want to disrespect conservatives, they use the word Nazi or refer to Hitler? According to many liberals, the Homeland Security Act is Nazism, and Bush is Hitler. Is this the best they can do?

If I wanted to denigrate a political movement, a law, or a person, I would compare them to communism or Stalin(not Nazism or Hitler). Stalin was a bigger genocidist than Hitler and communism has been much more widespread than Nazism. However, the Left never uses the word communism or Stalinism in vain. Could this habit be because Leftwingers consider the terms communism/Stalinism sacred?

Bush made it clear he is against a draft

In what is becoming a disaster for Kerry and Democrats, Bush clearly stated he is against the draft as long as he is President gaining a winning issue over kerry he might not have had. Kerry tried to claim Bush was for a draft as a desperation attempt to scare young voters. Democrats are known to want a draft so they can increase the number of young people opposed to the war on terror. If the Democrats can push through a draft they will increase the number of anti-war activists like the Vietnam days when people burned their draft cards and notices. Two Democrats in congress, Rangle and Senator Hollings have bills to reinstate the draft after a Republican President ended it in 1973. Republicans, conservatives and President Bush are against the draft because a volunteer armed forces is best for moral with only those that want to serve join and the liberals who are often anti-military would not be part of the service and won't be able to harm moral. It's clear to all informed people that it's Kerry and Democrats that are for the draft for political reasons and not Republicans and President Bush. The draft issue raised by Kerry will cost him many votes.

There’s a great rift being created in America, ripping families apart and setting brother against brother, and you know what it’s not our fault. The left has fashioned a myth this year that Conservatives are the root of the extreme partisanship rocking America, but you know what I’m not the one “slandering” your candidate. But we can rely on the fact that hatred only ever leads to self-destruction and this election year might be the laxative that the Democratic Party needed to flush out the contaminants that have so sickened its name. This indeed might be the flower powers last stand, since retirement is just around the corner for the people who have wallowed in the moral decline of our nation. So let them yell and let them spit, because the winds of change are blowing in and it’s never to smart to spit into the wind.

Kerry supporters had hoped that Kerry would regain lost ground from the debate, but a new poll shows the reality that Kerry failed to make gains. The Rasmussen poll shows Bush leads in the 3 day poll, but what is sure to be complete discouragement for the Kerry followers, Rasmussen reports, "As a result, just over one-third of the interviews were conducted following Thursday night's Presidential Debate. Results from last night's sample were similar to the preceding nights." Viewed by most that Kerry needed a strong showing in the debate to get back in it, this poll shows Kerry failed to break through.

President Bush and Kerry debate

Most impartial observers said the debate was a draw. Those that watched and based their reactions on style said Kerry won. But the same people said Bush was more credible, believable and showed a greater ability to lead. Looking at substance, Bush clearly won. Kerry had many misstatements. Kerry claimed he never called Bush a liar but he had used that word. Kerry falsely said the NY subway was closed during the Republican convention but it wasn't closed, and he said he looked at KGB records in "Treblinka Square" in a visit to Russia but Treblinka was a Nazi death camp. There were many other statements by Kerry that contradicted past statements he made reaffirming the flip-flip issue. Bush answered the questions with emotion and very heartfelt. Kerry tried to sound like a war hawk which will be a surprise to many of his supporters who want Kerry to pull troops out of Iraq. Kerry continued to mock our allies and again falsely claimed we were going it alone. Bush pointed out that Kerry can't get allies to support us when he is mocking them and saying the war was a mistake and a diversion. On North Korea, Kerry took a completely different position he takes on the war on terror(flip-flop). While Kerry demands coalitions, he said we should negotiate alone with North Korea. Bush pointed out we have many countries in the coalition in the war on terror and 5 countries around North Korea working with us against North Korea and their attempt to gain nuclear weapons. Bush made the point Kerry changes positions and that is no way to lead.

As expected by many Jim Lehrer’s moderation of the first Presidential debate of 2004, reeked of same partiality found in the 2000 debates. With a negative slant from the start, he initiated each question with a Bush mistake and then asked for the solution to the “Bush” problem. MTV's Rock the Vote is continuing to push the draft hoax, with a draft your friends e-card. Along with that they've included some left-beat articles, hyping up the possible reasons for a draft. The supposed "un-partisan" voter registration, is again showing its true colors.

In a recent letter to the editor of the S.F. Chronicle, a reader by the name of Zelda Penton made an unusual request to the European Union.

Editor -- I'd suggest to the leaders of the European Union an action that might alleviate their worries and also solve our problems. Why don't they launch a pre-emptive attack on the United States to liberate us from the Bush administration? Hopefully, they would not only get rid of the rogues in power, but they could then build up our country, restore our industries so that jobs would be provided for Americans, institute a national health plan, etc. I, and many others, certainly would be dancing in the streets and showering the Europeans with flowers.
